"Tulips in Sunlight"

SOLD 4 3/4" x 10" oil on panel

I am officially backing off the five (or four...) day a week PAD schedule (whew!) and will aim to post three quality "A Painting a Day" blog paintings a week. The painting goes quickly but deciding what to paint does not always go so fast and doing it every day is keeping me from spending as much time as I should on my larger work. I do plan on posting an image of any new large work whenever completed along with a PAD posting. I've enjoyed the challenge of painting well over 100 since starting this in mid November with more than three fourths of them SOLD!

"Keukenoff Tulips II"

SOLD 4 3/4" x 12" oil on panel

I decided to paint a companion painting for the one I did yesterday. I like the way tulips are sometimes planted with a shorter bed of flowers underneath.

"Keukenoff Tulips"

SOLD   4 3/4" x 12" oil on panel

The friends I was kidsitting for brought me back a disc full of photos of flowers from their trip to the Netherlands. These tulips are from Keukenoff Gardens. Enjoy!

"Peppermint Tulips"

SOLD  6" x 8" oil on panel

Painted and posted this one Monday but the email subscription service did not do it's job. I am trying it again. Enjoy!

"Vase of Pink Tulips"

SOLD                 6" x 8" oil on panel

The day before Valentine's Day I went to an upscale local florist and they generously allowed me to take reference pictures of all of the beautiful flowers. Here's a painting of one of them.
