Below is a sneak peek of a watercolor I am working on - I sometimes paint with an old pair of fingerless gloves with the thumb cut open to keep my hands warm enough to hold a brush! It is COLD here in 'sunny' Florida!
Two of my watercolors are in the Community Foundation's Art Ventures exhibition at the Cummer Museum. The show ends January 2 and is worth the effort to go see! The show is celebrating 20 years of grant giving to 91 individual artists. The juried show has about 30 local artists' work and is very diverse and interesting. (Tuesday night is free admission too!)
St. Vincent's Foundation recently purchased 8 of my giclee prints for 4 special patient rooms for primary use by DePaul Society donors/patients. Here is a sampling of the results (Ryan of Gallery Framery was hired to frame them and I 'helped' him put them up. I learned all about security hangers!) Speaking of prints, in working with St. Vincent's I realized I now have 35 paintings scanned to be prints, about 10 landscapes, 11 tablescapes, 8 flowers in nature, 5 misc. subject matter.
